Grande Arche de La Défense
Twenty-five years almost to the day since the project to build a Grand Arch at La Défense was completed, renovation works for the iconic monument of the Grand Paris Metropolis were launched on Wednesday 3rd of December 2014.
The renovation works, which should take 27 months, are part of a programme designed to boost the business district of La Défense. Eiffage has signed a twenty year administrative lease agreement representing a total investment of €192 million. The Group is reaping the benefits of its capacity to combine all its expertise into a global offer.
Eiffage Construction, in conjunction with architect firm Valode & Pistre, is carrying out design and construction works (asbestos removal, renovation and improvements). Eiffage Énergie will be responsible for refurbishing the building to HQE renovation of commercial buildings and BBC renovation standards. Facade specialist Goyer, a subsidiary of Eiffage, will be renovating the facades with the help of its factory in Fougères-sur-Bièvres (Loir-et-Cher). Eiffage Concessions, in association with public area management firm City One, has the financing in place and will be responsible for operating and managing the rooftop public areas, and Eiffage Services will ensure maintenance of the structure until the end of the lease in 2034.
