Eiffage Énergie Sénégal is updating the electricity grid in Senegal
Eiffage Énergie Transport & Distribution is updating, consolidating and improving security of a high voltage electricity network in Senegal. A contract worth approximately 32 million euros.
The subsidiary is contracted to renovate 63 km of high voltage power lines, execute the changeover from 90,000 to 225,000 volts, install three substations, circumvent 9 km around a cement plant and build two 2.5 km sections for the 225,000V branch to power the future Dakar international airport. All in just 16 months. Completion of the work, which began in March 2012, is scheduled for July 2013.
